TradeOgre.app is an independent reference desk covering one crypto exchange: what it was, how it worked, and what happened when Canadian federal police seized it in September 2025. We are not the exchange, we are not connected to anyone who ran it, and we cannot restore an account or release a balance.
When TradeOgre stopped responding in the summer of 2025, the people affected had almost nowhere to go for accurate information. The exchange had no support channel, no announcement, and no company to contact. What filled the gap was forum speculation, aggregator pages showing stale data, and an emerging industry of "recovery" services aimed at people desperate enough to pay one.
The facts of the case are not actually obscure. The RCMP announced the seizure publicly, established news organisations covered it, and Canadian law firms published analyses of the legal mechanism. What was missing was somewhere that collected all of it, explained the practical consequences in plain language, and did not pretend the exchange might come back.
That is what this site is. It is written for former users working out where their balance went, for people evaluating similar platforms, and for anyone who lands here after searching a question that no longer has an official answer.
Every factual claim on this site is traceable to a source, and the sources are listed at the bottom of each page rather than buried. Where we describe how TradeOgre operated — fees, order types, API endpoints, KYC policy — we rely on what the exchange published on its own site while it was running. Where we describe the seizure, we rely on law-enforcement statements and the coverage and legal analysis that followed them.
Where we do not know something, we say so. Several important questions about this case remain open: who operated the platform, whether forfeiture proceedings will be commenced, and whether any customer claims process will follow. We would rather leave those marked as unresolved than fill them with plausible-sounding invention.
We do not publish price predictions, we do not tell anyone what to buy, and we do not describe any platform as guaranteed, insured or risk-free. Pages are dated, and we update them when the situation changes rather than leaving stale material in place.

What we will not do: describe a platform as safe when we have no basis for it, hide the destination of a link, or recommend depositing funds anywhere as a solution to losing them somewhere else.
We cannot access, restore or close a TradeOgre account. We cannot release, trace or recover funds, and we have no relationship with the RCMP or any other agency. We do not know when or whether a claims process will open, and we have no channel to influence it.
